Milagros (literally translated to ‘miracles’) are religious charms that are often carried for good luck, protection, or a prayer that an individual hopes to have answered. There are many shapes of milagros and are specific to the miracle being sought after. Traditionally, once the prayer that the milagro was carried for is answered, the individual makes a pilgrimage to the associated shrine and leave the milagro there as a form of thanks.

Nowadays they are also used non-religiously as gifts to loved ones, decorations, and tokens.
