This tiny mini-book only measures in at 1-¼” x 2-½” and draws you in with a sneak-peek into the book with a cover that has an ice-resin window – hence “Looking In” – that slightly magnifies the image below. The pages are made from metal mesh, mica, distressed canvas, resin paper, and filmstrips (yes, this book has it all!). The kit comes packed with mini-photos, paper trimmings, and other embellishments to fill your book pages with. Also included are several Artful Illusion mini-rubber stamps (Joni’s personal stamp line). You will learn a variety of techniques for attachments including eyelets, staples, sewing, and wire as well as learning metal fabrication and texturing. You will even get a demonstration about torching as an added bonus to this already exciting class! Finish this class off with adding the chain to it so you can show off your Copper Book Necklace!
For this class you will want scissors, a glue-stick or other adhesive of your choice, red-liner tape, base wire-working tools (round nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, flush cutter, hole punches, ⅛” hole punch, craft (xacto type) knife, and an awl. Tools will be available for use in the classroom.
